## Place API service Overview

### Introduction

Place API service accepts an HTTPS request and returns places matching a text query or a coordinate. Look up places in Vietnam by name, address, or location.

### Why use Place API service

With Place API service, you can help users find the right place quickly — whether they're typing a partial address, searching a full address, or looking for places around a coordinate — while getting back structured, ready-to-use place data.

### What you can do with Place API service?

With the Place API `Search` methods, you can do the following things:

- **Suggest places as the user types**, or **search by a full text query**.
- **Find places near a coordinate**, or **the address at a coordinate**.
- **Get full details for a place** by its ID.


### How Place API service works

The Place API accepts an HTTP GET request with query parameters that contain the request details.

The service then searches the requested area, and returns the fields you've requested.
