## Distance Matrix Overview

### Introduction

The table service is a service that accepts an HTTPS request containing sources and destinations for a given mode of transport. For each combination of origin and destination.

### Why use Distance Matrix

You can use the Distance Matrix Service to help determine the most efficient the most efficient travel routes between multiple possible sources and destinations.

### How Distance Matrix works

The Distance Matrix API method accepts an HTTP GET request with query parameters that contains the request details.

> Example:

```bash
# Returns a 3x3 duration matrix:
curl https://dplace-api.themap.world/maps/api/distancematrix/json?origins=10.82587263527185%2C106.72299739871045%7C10.830553365061235%2C106.72882248366415&destinations=10.838966767933428%2C106.7453836166307%7C10.841693331125839%2C106.76390321646471&key=YOUR_API_KEY
```

The service then computes the duration of the fastest route between all pairs of supplied coordinates.
Returns durations or distances or both between the coordinate pairs.
